How to Cure an Illness in The Sims 4
There are a few ways that you can cure your sims illness but I've found that the easiest way is to order medicine from the computer. You can click on your computer > order > medicine and each bottle of medicine will cost $50. This one type of medicine will cure any illness.
Sometimes your sim will need to take medicine more than once in order to start feeling better. They will get rid of their illness for a few hours but it may come back and they'll need to take medicine again.
*Note: You'll find the medicine in your sim's personal inventory and to take it all you need to do is click on the medicine and choose take medicine.
After taking medicine your sim will even be given a 4h energized moodlet so not only will they no longer be sick, they'll be feeling great! Be sure to not give medicine to your healthy sims because you'll get a dazed moodlet that makes things a bit less fun.
You can also use the Tea Magic Personal Brewer to make yourself some tea that can reduce the length of your illness moodlet. I've also heard you can drink orange juice, but I have never tried this method.
Types of Illness
Nausea
A pregnant sim can get nauseous from morning sickness and I've found this is the most common type of nausea in game. Your sims can also get this illness if they eat bad food that is spoiled. If you give your sim the squeamish trait they will get nauseous literally all the time from things like someone walking in on them in the bathroom to getting into a fight.
Your sims won't throw up every time they are feeling nauseous but I've found that it's about 50/50. A sim can vomit in a toilet or in a bush.
Poison
With the addition of The Sims 4: Jungle Adventure, your sims can now get poisoned when out in Selvadorada. If your sim is lucky the poison won't be too bad and the negative moodlet will only last around 12 hours. If your sim is unlucky, they could actually die from it. Fortunately, you can go onto the computer and purchase an antidote on the computer that will cost you §1000.
Food Poisoning
With the addition of The Sims 4: Dine Out, your sims can now get food poisoning if they eat bad food at a restaurant. They will get a nauseous and uncomfortable moodlet and you can sometimes call the restaurant and you may receive a bit of money in exchange for your suffering.
Rabid Rodent Fever
With the addition of The Sims 4: My First Pet Stuff came the new rodent cage and a whole new illness that could lead to death. If you ignore your rodent's cage until it becomes dirty and have a poor relationship with them you will definitely get bitten and get rabid rodent fever.
Immediately after you get bit you'll receive a tense moodlet that will eventually turn to uncomfortable. To get rid of rabid rodent fever before your sim dies you must do some research on the computer to learn more about it or go visit a veterinarian who can help you.
Homesickness
With the addition of The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat you can now get homesick if your sim is on vacation for too long. They will get a sadness moodlet that lasts a few hours and will go away immediately if you leave and go back home.
Final Thoughts

In order to enter the cheats included in this article, you'll first have to bring up the Sims 4 cheat dialog box.
Here is how to open the cheat dialog box on different platforms:

- Shift-click on a Sim then choose Make head to put an object on top of your Sim.
- Shift-click on a Sim and select Modift in CAS to modify a Sim but not change its name or traits.
- Shift-click on a Sim and choose Add to Family or Remove from Family to add/remove a Sim to/from a household.
- Shift-click a Sim and choose Make into Plant Sim to transform the selected Sim into a plant person.

Most skill cheats follow a basic syntax (although there are some variations): stats.set_skill_level (skillname) (level from 1-10 if it's a major skill; level from 1-5 if it's a minor skill).
For example, if you want to max out your Sim's charisma, you can enter stats.set_skill_level Major_Charisma 10. Or if you don't want your Sim to completely master the skill, you can change the number 10 to a lower value (1-9).

The following cheat codes allow you to make or break your Sim's relationship.
As you can see, the number 100 is a percentage. You can change the value from 1 to 100 to specify the extent of the relationship. The minus sign before the number denotes that the relationship is in a negative way.
